What cookies does Tailored Folio use?

Tailored does not use optional or advertising cookies. We use only the cookies and local storage needed to run the service, plus display preferences you choose.

What we use

• Signing in. Cookies keep you signed in and your account secure.

• Reading a Folio. When someone opens a Folio link, a cookie keeps that visit going in their browser, so a reader doesn't have to enter a passcode again on every page, and coming back doesn't count as a new visitor.

• Your own visits. When you open your own Folio from the app, a cookie marks that browser as yours, so your visits don't count as reader opens and don't send you the first-opened email.

• Founding member links. If you follow a link to claim a founding member seat, a cookie holds on to it while you sign up.

• Light or dark. If a reader chooses light or dark on a Folio, that choice is kept in local storage in their browser.

Analytics

Our analytics do not place cookies on your device or store information on it.

Video and audio on Folios

A Folio can include a video or recording from YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, Spotify or SoundCloud. Nothing from that service loads until a reader opens it, and nothing plays until they press play. Once they do, the service's own player can set its own cookies, under that service's privacy terms. Those cookies are the service's, not ours. We load each player in its most private form; for YouTube, that's its privacy-enhanced mode.

Some pages are run by the services we work with, such as Paddle's checkout and Featurebase's help center and feedback board. Their own privacy terms apply there.
